MY BIO: In the
late 1990s I began receiving beautiful hand-crafted cards
from my very good friend, Patty Lum-Ohmann. For
a few years
I kept wondering how she made the ink appear “raised” off
the paper, and where did she get these unique and creative
ideas for her cards?
I finally asked her, and in 2002, Patty invited me over to
make some Easter cards! Oh, what fun and joy it was! I was
hooked!
I kept making cards, and making cards, but didn’t
have enough people to send them to for all the different
occasions. So in 2003, I started Creative Cards, etc. as a
home based business, and started selling them. Because I’m
basically very shy, and not much of an extrovert, I ran into
problems with the marketing side. After about a year of much
pondering and discussion with my husband, we decided that I
could use a portion of our collision repair shop office to
sell my cards. One thing led to another, and as I typically
do, I got carried away and over ordered, depleting our
savings. Uh oh. Now I have to have a REAL store!
I have learned a lot since then and the store has been
growing ever since. Because it’s not just rubber stamping,
or stenciling,
or scrap booking, or card making, I call it a
Paper Arts & Crafts store. There’s a lot more etcetera at
Creative Cards, etc. than creative cards.

After nearly seven years of enjoying
a storefront, I have had to relocate Creative Cards, etc. to
cyberspace due to the down economy. I am trying to put a
positive spin on it and hoping to offer many unique paper
arts, crafts and supplies to more crafters in more
geographical locations. So here goes....
Personal: Born 1958 in Burlingame, CA, grew up in Alamo, CA,
then moved around a bit before settling in Western Nevada
County, CA. I presently live in Nevada City, CA. with my
husband Denis of 18 years and our four-legged children; two
dogs, four horses and a cat. You'll probably see them
online at a later date!
